Hello Everyone!
I started Bibliosophy exactly a year ago as a way of sharing the wisdom contained in the books that I have read. For me, it was purely about spreading knowledge, truth, and clarity to our world in need.
Thanks to everyone who has supported this initiative by providing motivating comments, getting in touch with me, or sharing this with someone who could benefit.
This year, people have shared with me some of the changes they have made because of Bibliosophy, and I want to share some of them with you:
Bibliosophy posts encouraged several people to start reading. And keep reading.
Someone surpassed their new year’s resolution of reading books with eight months in advance.
I have friends who have made use of some of the takeaways in their daily lives and are seeing first-hand how beneficial they are.
Since this was all intended to improve at least one life, I feel a deep sense of reward to share that we have surpassed that number since day one.
It has been an exciting journey, and I have a few things to share before saying goodbye:
1. If you are underthinking, read. If you are overthinking, write.
2. We are not what we know but what we are willing to learn.
3. To make the complex into simple is art. And thereby lies true mastery of something.
4. Not learning from the past, repeating mistakes, and not seeing how others dreamed up new ideas, costs our society billions of dollars.
5. If you seek out external validation for something, you will never have enough.
6. The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.
7. Reading should be fun, never see it as an obligation.
8. It takes curiosity to learn. It takes courage to unlearn. Learning is how you evolve. Unlearning is how you keep up as the world evolves.
9. Reading is collecting dots. Writing is connecting them.
10. Our modern world rewards authenticity, not sameness. Decide who you want to be or beware of becoming who your audience wants and losing yourself in the way.
11. Every person has 3 Pieces: Who they think they are, who they actually are, and who they want to be. The goal is to work until these 3 pieces are exactly the same.
My absolute best: Nothing in life is of any value unless it is shared with others.
The benefits of reading books are evident to me every day, and I urge you to do the same. It has changed my life and helped me become a better person in every way. I know it can help you in that way too.
Please do not hesitate to send me a message about anything you wish to discuss. Thank you for supporting me.
My best,
Andres Marin
P.S.: The Bibliosophy page will remain active for anyone to take a dive into any of the 52 books shared in the last 52 weeks.
